This is a very cut and dried page that curiously resembles my resume! Well I thought, MAYBE, you’d like to know why I think I can help you navigate the technology I spend my time in.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

Instructional Design Specialist with 12-plus years of experience in educational technology, including management and project management. Over 24 years experience in graphic production and 15 years in web-based technologies.

Profile

  • Proficient in web-based technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and federal and state accessibilty standards.
  • Proficient in audio and video recording and editing technologies, such as Adobe Premiere, Soundbooth and Audition.
  • Very proficient in graphic and publishing software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Microsoft Publisher.

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

  • Developing, designing, recording, editing and producing synchronous broadcasts of ElderCare presentations. The purpose of this project is to allow remote ElderCare associates to participate and gain CEUs in these courses. Courses are also archival for future use.
  • Converted Animal Sciences 100 to be an online course which utilizes 115 multimedia educational training modules. Modules were developed in Adobe Presenter and the custom front-end was developed in Adobe Flash. The DVD for the course was developed to accommodate Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
  • Served as guest lecturer for ANSC483/CPSC483 (Outreach Education Skills). Topic is online technologies in education. Success of my lecture in Spring 2009 expanded it from one to two sessions for Spring 2010 offering.
  • Updated the accompanying CD-ROM (Principles of Dairy Production) for the Animal Sciences 201 online course using Adobe Presenter for the modules and a custom front-end similar to the Animal Sciences 100 DVD. Recorded and edited additional modules to update the information delivered on the CD-ROM.
  • Designed, developed and maintained main website for Animal Sciences utilizing XHTML, ColdFusion, ASP, ASP.net and SCORM, State of Illinois and University of Illinois accessibility compliance standards.
  • Designed and developed many Animal Sciences related websites utilizing XHTML, ColdFusion, ASP, ASP.net and SCORM, State of Illinois and University of Illinois accessibility compliance standards.
  • Participated in the update of the Advanced Dairy Nutrition CD-ROM (Animal Sciences 423). Recorded and edited updated modules using Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Audition and PointeCast.
  • Developed, recorded, edited and maintained podcasts for Dairynet, Animal Sciences 100, PEAQ, Dixon Springs Agricultural Center, Illini Pet Pods
  • Participated in design and development of Animal Sciences multimedia display for ADSA/ASAS 100th anniversary
